The Texas apartment industry encourages, and values continued learning and training throughout your career. If you are looking to brush up on or add new skills, there is no limit to the training opportunities available to you.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but we are working to share as many of the opportunities as possible to help you find your fit in the apartment industry and room to grow in your career.
Training opportunities with workforce partners
These programs are for those new to the industry looking for hands-on training. Participants completing these types of programs graduate from the course with a provisional, with one year of experience, Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT). CAMT is an industry-recognized certification that is widely accepted and valued. TAAEF works with the local associations and other workforce partners to support these programs.
Training opportunities from local associations
Our local apartment associations provide education opportunities for professional growth for all levels of apartment professionals. They are a great resource for learning the apartment industry and getting to network and know others in the industry.

Training opportunities from supplier partners
Supplier partners provide goods and services to apartment communities. They work to help apartment communities run in the way in which they need to best support the residents. Supplier partners give much to the industry and have a variety of resources to help you learn the industry and new skills.
